AGM / Family Weekend
Welcome to the MACS AGM/Family Weekend page. As you know every year our event takes place at Park Hall Hotel in Lancashire. They have been our hosts for the event for over 10 years and each year it gets better and better. Park Hall also provides its own onsite theme park Camelot where the King and his Knights greet all the MACS children. Also we are very Lucky as our mascot MACS the MONKEY also attends to welcome all the children.
Each year we have guest speakers who cover a range of areas including medical, welfare and educational issues as well as support from MACS itself. The whole event takes place over 4 days and includes a buffet welcome evening on the Friday night and two further nights of entertainment with a chocolate fountain and entertainment, music and dancing plus the MACS Achievement Awards, raffles and our highlight event MACS children providing MACS HAS GOT TALENT.
There are also events taking place over the weekend that involves not, only the MACS children but also brothers, sisters and friends. It’s also a chance to meet your regional supporter and the MACS team. During the weekend the parents attend the AGM whilst the children are entertained in the crèche with professional cares and the older ones involved in the events organized by the committee. It's a busy and fulfilling weekend for everybody who attends.
The AGM is there for all MACS members it gives everybody the chance to:
- Get Together
- Provide Support
- Make new friends and renew old friendships
- Let MACS children see that they are not alone and help each other.
- Let parents get together to talk and ask questions about their Childs MACS condition
- Enjoy the chance of a break with their family and friends
